Old School Bluegrass Camp 2022, July 3rd to 7th
The seventh annual Old School Bluegrass Camp happens July 3rd to 7th, 2022, nestled among the Lanark Highlands in the town of Elphin, Ontario on the home property of Camp Director Jenny Whiteley and Head Cook Joey Wright. Old School Bluegrass Camp offers classes in bluegrass instruments to adult students; guitar, fiddle, banjo (clawhammer and bluegrass styles), mandolin and upright bass. Limited enrollment and small, high-intensity daily classes provide an exceptional level of teaching, mentoring and one-on-one instruction from world-class bluegrass musicians. Learning how to perform with others in a band setting is a fundamental goal of Old School Bluegrass Camp. Each student will be part of a group that rehearses through the week and performs on the OSBC stage on the final night of camp. OSBC features performance opportunities, slow and all-tempo jams, workshops, a private lesson with your instrument instructor and nightly concerts featuring instructors and staff. OSBC offers safe and welcoming opportunities to learn new musical skills and escape your comfort zone while creating lasting friendships and reconnecting with camp pals!
OSBC has added a Fiddle & Banjo Camp July 7th to 10th; more information and sign up is at: https://oldschoolbluegrasscamp.wordpress.com/fiddle-banjo-camp/
